This event is for Aboriginal people aged 14 years and older.

Thinking about a career in fisheries, Maritime or Hospitality and Tourism?
Want to gain cultural knowledge of Sea Country and learn about traditional methods of catching and preparing seafoods?
Join us on the 2nd 3rd and 4th of April at Murrayfield Station, Trumpeter Road, North Bruny.
Who it’s for: Aboriginal people aged 14 and up
WHO WILL BE THERE:

  • Uncle Rodney Dillon and Bron Dillon – Cultural knowledge and methods
  • Workshops and talks from IMAS
  • Seafood and Maritime Training career information
  • 5 star Chef demonstrations and more special guests

Come and try:

  • Oyster shucking
  • Abalone preparation
  • Snorkelling
  • Explore the shoreline and learn about the different animals that live in the sea.
  • Try traditional basket weaving and jewellery making, boat handling,
  • Try your hand at being a marine scientist.
