Reconciliation in Education Awards

– 18 April 2025

Nominations now open!

The Narragunnawali Reconciliation in Education Awards are the only national awards program that recognises and celebrates Australian schools and early learning services that are implementing outstanding reconciliation initiatives.
Finalists are acknowledged for strengthening reconciliation through relationships, building respect, and providing meaningful opportunities in the classroom, around the school or service, and within the community.
The awards have been held every two years since 2017 and there are two categories:

  • Schools: incorporating primary, secondary, senior secondary and combined schools within the government, independent or catholic sectors.
  • Early Learning: incorporating early childhood education and care, preschool, family day care and out of school hours care services.

Reconciliation Australia invites educators, school leaders, carers, parents, and community members to nominate schools or early learning services that are implementing outstanding reconciliation initiatives.
To apply, your school or early learning service must have a published Narragunnawali Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). RAP Working Group members can apply under the ‘Your RAP’ tab in the Narragunnawali platform.

Nominations close on 18 April 2025.
