Come Walk With Us
In Partnership with the University of Tasmania (UTAS)
This innovative and hands on workshop walks participants through the timeline of colonisation and the historical and continuing effects of government policies on Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their communities.
In combination with an experiential exercise ‘from the shore’ demonstrating the impact of the arrival of settlers, convicts and livestock on the traditional life and home of the First Tasmanians.
The workshops are facilitated by Reconciliation Tasmania and enable participants to gain cross-cultural skills and to integrate Aboriginal issues across their businesses and communities.
Participants are invited to engage in hands on activities that will give them a greater awareness of historical events and their significance to current and future outcomes for Aboriginal Tasmanians.
